EVENT: Opening an Event to a Custom Group Amp Feature


Purpose: To allow FinalForms Admins the ability to open events to only custom groups of members instead of the entire membership.

How to:
NOTE: You will have to create your custom group first, and add them manually to the event. Follow the steps below to create a group and only open an event to them.

  1. Go to Manage-Custom Groups and click on the blue “New Custom Group” button

2. Name your new custom group. It is preferred to put the school year in front of the name so it’s easy to sort by from year to year.

3. Once the new custom group has been created, you can add whatever members you’d like to your new group. Once everyone is added, press the blue “Add Members” button.

4. Go to Manage-All Events and click on your event’s edit button.
5. Scroll down to “Groups” and add in the group that you created on the previous page. Once you have added your group, go to the bottom and press “Update Event”

6. Once you have updated your event, only the members in that specific group will be able to register for the new event that was created. They can see this on their homepage under Current Events.

NOTE: You may also communicate with the members in the custom group anytime by going back to the Manage-Custom Groups page, finding your group, and clicking the black “Email” button to send an email communication.

Conclusion: This feature update allows FinalForms Admins a convenient way to open an event to only a specific group of people. This is good for allowing certain members or vendors the ability to register for an event first, prior to opening the event to the rest of your members.
